Educated Stoner | High Times

I’ve been a stoner since the 70’s and didn’t realize cannabis was a drug until I had cancer in my 50’s. They said I was a stoner. But now I’m an educated stoner and wise at lies.

It’s been 10 years this month since I was educated on cannabis as a beneficial plant after using cannabis oil to get my breast cancer into remission in 2012.

I worked as a TV producer/writer in Los Angeles, but grew up in Humboldt County, CA to produce news programs for local TV, eventually ending up in . Times Standard Eureka county seat.

When cancer disappeared (no surgery or chemotherapy needed), along with the 10+ medications and supplements needed for many diseases and disorders, I felt compelled to write across the mainstream media and into the cannabis publishing space. The plant as medicine.

My joke was that I’m a woman with a voice from Los Angeles, stopped by the cannabis capital of the world, and had breast cancer. No joke, I was told that this was the path already laid out before me and that my voice was being used for the greater good of the plant.

I like that explanation and accept it.The stories I write are patient profiles, detailing the successful results of using cannabis as a medicine, so it’s a call I answered and not for the faint of heart. The story is known as anecdotal, And until the U.S. government finally recognizes and recognizes the plant as a medicine, all we can do is say hello to each other.

What saddens me is that I have never been able to post healing stories in mainstream publications. Can you do that?” is the question titled. We cannabis patients and caregivers already know the answer. We are waiting for medical professionals and legislators to catch up and stop playing politics with healing plants when pharmaceutical companies fail us.

health and persecution

None of the medications I was taking over ten years ago actually made me feel better.

Thyroid disease alone comes with a long list of symptoms that come and go as you please: hormone suppression, weight gain, digestive problems, and misery too many to mention here. Going in was a double hormonal hit and I suffered steadily emotionally and physically until I started the cannabis oil protocol (60 grams in 90 days and a step-by-step dosing guide with).

But my newfound health and happiness were short-lived. I was quickly ridiculed and questioned by friends, family, and strangers alike.

Believe me, no one was more surprised than me, but my truth was adamant and harsh. I had no choice but to use my voice to educate others and correct a mistake that has persisted for decades. For me, my story was too good to be true.

When I was in the mainstream media, people believed and respected what I said and reported. After moving into writing for a magazine with a funny name and writing about one of the most demonized plants on the planet, the reaction from most people was not kind.

Writing for cannabis magazines, you might think I’ve been preaching to choirs all my life, but even the most avid 24/7 stoners believe the plant is a powerful and worthwhile medicine to take. I’m having trouble figuring it out. Smoked. i like to say, Your endocannabinoid system doesn’t care that you want to get high.

The US government has done an excellent job of convincing people that plants are bad and that tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the product of madness.

It was all bullshit. That’s what I learned after leaving the mainstream media behind. And then the other truths I found about many other lies added to the conundrum of who I thought I was, who I used to be, and who I am now with this new knowledge. it was done.

Relax, it’s a superfood

“If this works, why don’t I know about it?” That was my first reaction when given the potent cannabis oil that changed everything.

The definition of a superfood, or what I call a “superplant,” is a plant that contains a variety of beneficial compounds that can combat a variety of ailments.

Superfoods address all 11 biological systems via the endocannabinoid system (eCS), but it’s not just for embracing cannabis compounds. All beneficial plants contain terpenes and cannabinoids in which drugs are found. It’s not rocket science or complicated, it’s how plants work in a similar way to human and animal biology.Learn more about superfoods here.)

As I have said many times, When they told us to eat fruits and vegetables, they should have frightened us.

We have noses, so medicinal plants have terpenes and scents. It’s a symbiotic relationship that has been broken for decades. We’ve been kept away from gardens for too long. Many people don’t know how to cook real food from gardens, let alone understand or know how to make medicine from plants. There is no

When you are attracted to the scent of a particular beneficial plant, it means that your body biologically needs that plant and its compounds. may need to cool. This is how plants speak to us and our needs.

Pharmacists making medicines from plants were showing how humans healed before the rise of the pharmaceutical industry in the late 1930s and before they profited from using patented synthetic formulations. Formulations can only attempt to mimic the healing powers of the plant, and negative side effects are common.

Plants cure and quell diseases and infections, strengthen the immune system, maintain homeostasis in the body, and create places where disease cannot live.

Take antibiotics as an example of how pharmaceuticals can be damaged while trying to heal. Now, I don’t know why we would pick (or name) anything therapeutic “anti”, much less anti-“biotics”. It doesn’t sound right to begin with. Yes, antibiotics stop infections, but in doing so they also kill the good cells, weakening the immune system.

You can’t patent the whole plant for profit, so why break down compounds in the cannabis plant to create patented formulations.

god plant

Perhaps the most frustrating part of all this for me is that we as a species have raised our levels of THC to the current highs through hybridization. It must be managed as a medicine.

The original plant, known as the Divine Plant, is used in the Holy Anointing of the Bible ( Soma Solution), measured at less than 5% THC. About the same amount of hybridized cannabidiol or CBD varieties, aka hemp.

The late Lawrence Ringo of Southern Humboldt spent nearly 15 years hybridizing plants to restore THC, resulting in cannabis high in cannabidiol, or CBD. called. It was these plants that were brought to Colorado from California and were called Charlotte’s webs. The Stanley brothers gave Ringo the honorary title of Father of CBD, and couldn’t say he crossed the border between plants and states.Read Ringo’s story here.)

Don’t get me wrong, I love THC. It speaks to me, and to women in general, about the hormonal issues that we have many of throughout our lives. I am menopausal. You don’t want to see me not smoking cannabis all day.

what i learned

Over the last decade, I have learned that not everyone accepts plants as medicine. Until eCS is taught in medical schools, medical professionals will be in the dark.

The saying “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink” has never been this clear to me when it comes to cannabis. With the negative stigma of cannabis still on Schedule 1 and with no medicinal properties, I can only evangelize the plant…from my mouth to their ears. They may not believe it, but they hear me.

It’s all about education. Having been in the media for over 20 years, I knew this. That’s why I’m in the business of educating cannabis and other plants as medicine.Becoming an educated stoner isn’t easy, but it has its perks. I am blessed with botanical knowledge and would not knock someone who is still on pharmaceuticals.

And my cancer can come back. Whether you use chemotherapy or cannabis, the cancer will only go into remission. It’s in our stem cells from toxins added to our environment by our own hands over the decades.

My forehead cancer, which was in remission nine years ago, got worse last year. In fact, I grew up on the beach and have been a gardener my whole life, so I have spots of cancer all over my body. I feel lucky to have been able to put an end to cancer and many other ailments over the years.

But this educated stoner knows there are no guarantees in life or death. Just being here now can help.
