California and Arizona Regulators Issue Voluntary Cannabis Recalls

Recall Targets Child Attractive Packaging

The California Department of Cannabis Control posted a voluntary recall notice for a Baddies Worldwide Flower cannabis product by Backpackboyz. Officials determined the product violates cannabis industry packaging and labeling regulations. The agency found the packaging is too attractive to children.

The recall notice states that “DCC determined that the packaging and labeling used for the affected product contains imagery and design elements that are attractive to children and therefore does not comply with California cannabis packaging and labeling requirements.” This excerpt appears directly in the voluntary recall notice. The DCC did not express concerns about the cannabis flower itself.

The product contains 3.5 grams of cannabis flower and a small figurine. The figurine was offered as part of a brand partnership with Natalie Nunn. Nunn is a California reality television star who first appeared on the Oxygen show “Bad Girls Club.”

Product Sold Across Multiple Counties

The item was sold on or after May 15, 2026, at retailers in several counties. These locations include Alameda, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Clara, and Sonoma. The recall applies specifically to the Baddies Worldwide Flower product.

Backpackboyz manufactures the recalled cannabis flower. The brand partnership with Natalie Nunn included the small figurine found in the packaging. Nunn now executive produces the show “Baddies” on the Zeus Network.

The DCC identified the packaging as the primary regulatory violation.

Consumers Advised to Dispose of Items

The agency recommends that consumers who still have the product either dispose of or return it to the retail location where it was purchased. The DCC posted the notice to alert the public about the labeling issue.

Consumers should check their inventory for the specific Baddies Worldwide Flower product. The packaging includes the 3.5 grams of flower and the small figurine. The DCC noted that the design elements are non-compliant with state requirements.
