‘Joints For Jabs’ Gives Out Free Marijuana to Encourage COVID-19 Vaccinations

DC Marijuana Justice, a group of Washington, DC activists, has a big plan to encourage vaccination efforts while focusing on reforming marijuana law.

“Joints for jabs” & COVID-19

The idea is simple. Encourage more people to get vaccinated by distributing free cannabis bags outside the capital’s coronavirus vaccination center. The plan was put into action when the general public was eligible for vaccination, and dozens of home growers have already achieved this goal, according to the activist group behind the promotion, DC Marijuana Justice (DCMJ). I am participating to contribute.

In a recent email to Motherboard, DCMJ co-founder Adam Eidinger outlined the rationale behind the campaign and wrote: The Vaccination Center is also a place for education and support, and a place to mobilize people to protect the district’s homegrown rights, inform lawmakers that they want to expand further, and allow adults to buy and sell cannabis. I’m thinking. “

The two-sided activist approach is further embodied by “calling the cheat sheet of your council members” that accompanies the free buggy of marijuana, and further citizens to the ever-changing world of cannabis law. Encourage involvement.

The “Joints for Jabs” news has received widespread positive reactions across the press and social media, but some have been critical of potential safety issues. To alleviate concerns, DCMJ will work with local officials to ensure that the weed distribution process is legal and COVID safe. As for the weeds themselves, the home growers involved make sure the shoots are top notch – they do not contain both pesticides and synthetic fertilizers.

COVID-19 has been a source of continuous pain, anxiety and stress for the past year, but DCMJ feels that “Joints for Jabs” can show a pleasant left turn for the country. Co-founder Nicholas Schiller commented: The DCMJ believes that cannabis should be consumed safely and responsibly, and pandemics make it very difficult for many adults to share homemade cannabis. “

While “Joints for Jabs” may seem like a daunting task, DC Marijuana Justice has a proven track record of leading reforms and bringing awareness to cannabis law.

DC Marijuana Justice and Activism

In 2014, DC Marijuana Justice was just that group that moved to DC cannabis campaign To Pass Ballot Initiative 71 – Measures to Legalize the Amusement Use of Cannabis in Washington, DC However, it did not stop DCMJ’s efforts. When the campaign won, they aimed to fight for fairness through cannabis at both the DC and federal levels.

At President Trump’s inauguration in 2017, DCMJ cautioned against the need for legalization by distributing over 10,000 joints to attendees. President Biden’s inauguration will be virtually attended, but DCMJ will hand out joints at this summer’s inauguration if an event is held in DC.

Full federal law has not yet been legalized, but DCMJ co-founder Adam Eidinger said: .. .. We asked President Obama and President Trump, and now we are asking President Biden to take presidential action on cannabis reform within the first 100 days. “

The location and dates of the “Joints for Jabs” will be announced when information about the DC Vaccination Clinic is released by local government officials.
