AROYA Connector Lets Growers Query Cultivation Data Through Claude And ChatGPT

AROYA Launches AI Connector for Cannabis Cultivation Data

AROYA has released a connector that lets commercial cannabis growers plug their live AROYA account into Claude or ChatGPT and ask questions about their own facility in plain language. Questions that once required an afternoon of exports and cross-referencing now take a sentence.

Growers can request a daily facility report before walking rooms, rank rooms by average EC and substrate moisture over the past week, or pull irrigation events that preceded a dryback. They can also find which devices have unstable connections and compare two runs of the same cultivar across facilities.

“As far as I can tell, we’re the first cultivation platform to offer this,” said Philip Malmquist, Director of AROYA. “But a connector is a tool, not a cure. If you plug it in and change nothing, nothing changes.”

Malmquist added that the connector cuts the time between question and answer, which he said has always been the expensive part. AROYA is not supplying the analysis itself. The reasoning comes from the grower’s own AI assistant, running on the grower’s own subscription and chosen model.

“The only thing our product does here is connect an AI agent to the data and point it at the right place,” said Jason Van Leuven, Director of Applied Technology at AROYA, who built the connector and ran the beta program. “From there, growers tell it how they want help.”

How the Connector Works

Unlike scripted chatbots built around a short list of preset questions, the connector is not limited to what someone anticipated in advance. Growers can have the assistant of their choice work with their AROYA data however they need it, whether comparing runs, checking sensor health, or building a daily facility report.

Through the connector, growers can reach nearly everything in the AROYA app from their own Claude or ChatGPT account. That includes sensor readings, irrigation history, harvest groups, and sensor health. The connector can export what it finds into whatever format the grower prefers.

Growers can ask for a one-line answer, a table, or a full morning report, according to Van Leuven. A director of cultivation who took part in the beta program reported immediate benefits.

“As soon as I started using it, I felt [the benefit] right off the bat,” said the beta participant. “If these scheduled reports work, this is going to take away a good two hours that I get back.”

Setup takes a few minutes. A grower adds a custom connector in Claude or ChatGPT, signs in with their AROYA credentials, and the connector scopes itself to the facilities that login already reaches.

Availability and Pricing

Paid Claude and ChatGPT plans support the connector. Free ChatGPT accounts do not allow connectors, but free Claude accounts do. Team and enterprise plans require an administrator to enable it.

The connector is free to every AROYA subscriber through the end of 2026. It will be $25 per facility per month on renewal after that.
