Mera Cannabis Group successfully completed its corporate restructuring under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. The company did not declare full bankruptcy as previously reported. The main restructuring concluded on May 15, 2026.
This outcome followed approval from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
Aggregated Investments Inc. acquired the majority of Mera’s primary operating units. The purchase included Mera Cannabis Corp.
and Greenleaf Productions Inc. It also covered Avana Labs Inc. and Countryside Cannabis Corp.
Vivariant Laboratories Inc. was part of the transaction as well.
These operating entities officially exited CCAA protection as going concerns. Proceeds from the transaction satisfied the company’s secured creditors. Key assets and cultivation facilities remain active.
Brand portfolios such as Ellevia and Litti continue operations.
Court-appointed Monitor Ernst & Young Inc. filed its discharge certificate on July 28, 2026. This action wrapped up the primary CCAA proceedings.
The firm transitioned into its role as Licensed Insolvency Trustee. It now oversees two remaining entities.
The two entities are 1001555284 Ontario Inc. and CannaWay Clinics Inc. Both were formally assigned into bankruptcy on July 28, 2026.
They will undergo an orderly liquidation. This process addresses remaining unsecured liabilities.
ResidualCo is the specific name for 1001555284 Ontario Inc. CannaWay Clinics Inc. remains a separate entity in the process.
The liquidation targets specific residual debts. These entities were excluded from the initial asset sale.
A first meeting of creditors for the two bankrupt estates occurred on August 13, 2026. This meeting addressed the status of the liquidation. Creditors sought information on the recovery process.
The Trustee managed the proceedings for both estates.
Creditors seeking to recover funds must submit a formal Proof of Claim. Supporting documentation is required with the claim.
The Trustee will review these submissions.
Operational facilities under the Mera umbrella remain fully functional. Consumer-facing brands continue to operate under new ownership. Aggregated Investments Inc.
now leads these active units. The primary business units avoided insolvency entirely.
