Proud to share my name Zach Harris, even if people in the weed industry sometimes confuse us. After all, while I was editor of Mary Jane, I worked regularly with Philadelphia-based writers for years. Harris was one of our main contributors. And it was common for marijuana media to get mixed up, as they were often CCed in the same email.

But ZH is his own man. A unique rucksack with strong convictions, a well-oiled cortex, and the lungs of an ultra his marathon runner. Really, this guy can smoke weed.I always thought a man would be chief at least I work 12 or 2 joints a day and still stay up in front of me and always meet my deadlines.

Me and Harris collaborated a lot, including some features that I’m proud of to this day. Screed against “Moon Rock” Caviar, tarantula joints.deep dive into the secondary market of Rare and Discontinued Backwoods Flavor; and the very first survey About the “mysterious vaping disease” (later called EVALI) fueled by counterfeit and bootleg THC cartridges. This last scoop went viral, rolling stone, new york postand countless other publications before the topic became a national news item.

Even these days, Harris writes about weed and skating. publications like complicated, but primarily consulting and copywriting for cannabis brands such as Cookies, Viola, and Elyon. Executed.Zack too very good at twitter A must see for anyone interested in real cannabis culture.

Grateful to consider Harris a friend and co-conspirator, Weedlord took the time to talk to us about his pot preferences at Cash Only. In a delightful interview, Zack talks about his morning joint rolling rigamarolls, screams heady growlers, and even nods to his brother Malcolm’s upcoming book: The Harris family is on their minds, oh my god Can I say it! Big shout out to Zach H. — you are a real stoner with a beautiful brain.

Do you have a favorite weed strain at the moment? How do you like to consume?

Zach Harris: Lately I’ve been smoking a lot of first class funk and horchata that my family raised on NorCal, grown in the sun. I try to switch flavors quite often, but I usually go into the funkier, gassy, flavorful strains.

As for consumption, I usually smoke a bong or a doulig at home and a personal sized joint whenever I’m outside. I’m not going to give you either, but I usually have enough on hand to give you your own Percy joint if I like you. I also roll a lot of hashholes these days. This is just a joint with a rope of rosin in the middle. They are great when I’m really about to smack my face. likes to roll joints.

Zach Harris’ joint case is always full of this.

How is your daily consumption? Have a day in your lung life.

I am definitely an all day smoker. I like the label “Stoner”. In the morning, from 8am to noon, I try to match my French press with my bowl or joint for each cup of coffee. Then, roll the joint about 8-10 times before leaving the house. I have a cool joint case I bought at a flea market a while ago, but when I go outside I feel a little bare and I don’t have at least half of it. I also find the process of rolling the joints really meditative. You are in the good zone.

If I’m at home all day and working, I pack a bong bowl or dab fairly steadily. I smoke 10 joints that I roll in. Like a day and a half pack (laughs). Like five or six years ago, I quit cold turkey and replaced that habit with more weed. continues to suck joints. If I’m outside and I run out of scrolls, I usually have enough supplies in my tote bag to roll more, so I do that.

Do you have a favorite weed product? Is there a particular paper, grinder, etc.? What makes them so special?

I’m a big fan of simplicity and simplicity that works. I like 2 chamber grinders. No key catcher needed. Kief wants it to stay where it belongs, along with the weed. These perforated wide tips are important. I want the crutch on the joint to be the size of a cigarette filter, not a tiny bump you can’t really grab with your fingers.

I use a bong at home HeirThey sent it to me in 2019 when I was writing many product reviews. It’s very easy to clean, very sturdy and works all the time. Another product we used a lot on our PR seedlist was the PuffCo Peak Pro. I don’t need to say much about it. It’s a spaceship double rig and it’s perfect.

Last but not least, my parents live in California and I have a sick woodworker friend. She recently made me a custom rolling her tray and she uses it every day. Thank you mom and dad!

Which cannabis brands have impressed you lately, be it product, aesthetic, or otherwise?

To be honest, most of the flowers I smoke come from very small family farms with no brand names, but when it comes to brand name weeds, I work closest. Two California companies, Cookies and Viola, impressed me with their products. approach people. As a freelancer, I would also like to say that both pay on time. This is much cooler than any package.

As for other brands of flowers, I really dig mom’s weeds Huckleberry Hill Farms Humboldt, Gummies and Menthol compound geneticsand I’m really happy to check out the new menu of shares from my friendsMore The Rare — Their Olive Wagyu is one of my favorite gelato profiles and their packaging has always been one of my favourites.

I also recently tried some strains green bodhi Both were really great.

What kind of activities do you like to do after being turned to stone?

I’ve been into bowling lately and taking a joint break every few games is a great way to keep my head straight. It’s great to smoke a joint between innings in the dugout. I also like skateboarding, biking, and walking while smoking weed. I always want to smoke another cigarette, so the best thing you can do while you’re stoned is while you’re actively smoking. Are you ready?” is the man who asks. No matter what we do, whenever the answer is yes, that’s what I want to do.

Can you recommend what to watch while stoning?

You can’t go wrong with your TV procedure.whether it Monk, Beware of burns, Law and order (any flavor), or Hawaii 5-0, the best shows to watch while you’re stoned are the ones you can watch without too much context. They’re all very dark — not even the content, but how they’re shot. Half the time I barely know what’s going on. Use a few episodes from season 3 of the early 2000s network drama and you’ll do much better Las Vegas Starring Jimmy Caan — spends 45 minutes investigating the gang of motocross riding card counters and more. Much chiller.

What do you like to listen to after you smoke? Any albums, radio shows, podcasts?

I think we’re in a pretty incredible golden age of rap music all over the country right now. I’ve been listening to a lot of his Detroit waves like Veeze, Icewear Vezzo, GT, Babyface Ray, 42 and more. Then Flint guys like Rio, Sleazy World Go from Kansas City, Glorilla from Memphis, Key Glock and of course Head from Young Dorf. Hmm, Fivio, DThang, and the New York scene is cool. Also, I still listen to Drakeo the Ruler and Ralphy’s LA sound a lot. And finally, I love the scene where OT7Quanny, Poundside Pop, RB Cat, and everyone else kills each other in Philadelphia. There is a lot of good music out there now.

Please tell me the book to read after smoking cigarettes.

Can you do it! His brother Malcolm Harris is due to publish a third book. Palo Alto: California, Capitalism, and World History, will be available in 2023 and should be pre-ordered now. And while you’re at it, pick up his first two books, Kids these days: The birth of the millennial generation and Shit is Mess and Bullshit: History from the End of History. Yes, he’s my brother, but he’s also an incredible thinker, writer, and stoner, with an uncanny ability to break down super-complex subjects in fun, entertaining, and radicalizing ways. If you’re sick of how things are going in , and want to know how they got to be this way, read Malcolm’s book. Seriously, go buy all of his books now.

Also, I recently read some really great books written by my skating friends. the most fun A wonderful compilation of short essays about life, love and skateboarding by Professor Kyle Beachy.and mason top is a novel by pro skater Walker Ryan that is a very fun and fast read. I read it on the beach in Miami and it was perfect.

Who’s in your dream blunt rotation? Dead or alive.

Because my whole family smokes as much cannabis as I do. So those are my dream sessions when we all get together.

But that’s not a very fun answer, so let’s go with Jon Cardiel, Klay Thompson, Kylie Minogue, Young Dorf, and Megan Thee Stallion.
